Since the Republic opened its doors late last year, the award winning hotel is fast becoming a hotspot on the social scene thanks to its unique styling, quirky settings and ever-evolving rustic meat-focused menu.

Based in the trendy suburb of Norwood, the Republic offers an experience for those who are looking for something a little bit different to the average outing, and having just won an AHA award for the Best Outdoor Venue in South Australia, the Republic will not disappoint.

General Manager Nathan Lawrence says, “The Republic stands out from the crowd due to its contemporary and inviting space, which was designed to promote a friendly, laid-back, conversational environment.

“Our menu compliments this notion as we offer a variety of share platters and carefully constructed banquets for those who are eager to share and sample more than one dish,” Mr Lawrence said.

Head Chef of the Republic, Brad Johns, has over 20 years experience in the hospitality industry and has formulated a menu that is flexible to suit seasonal produce and current food trends.

“The menu was strategically designed to be wholesome and authentic, whilst still incorporating South Australian produce,” Brad Johns said.

“A crowd favourite has to be the charcoal rotisserie. It’s the ideal combination of slow cooked meat over hot coals being infused with a smoky flavour and seasoned in the meat’s own juices. This method has been used for centuries to celebrate special occasions between friends and family – tying in with our philosophy at the Republic.”

Another signature dish on the menu is the Pork, Cork & Fork – suckling pig priced at $32 for one person, $59 for two people and $99 for four people, all including sides. Unique and often highly priced, the Republic is proud to present this menu item every Wednesday at an affordable price without cutting back on quality.

The Republic has an outstanding collection of beer, wine and cider on their beverages menu gathered from top local boutique wineries, and offers a cocktail menu that features the famous XO Margarita, Blueberry Mojito and classic French Martini.

The dessert menu promises something sweet, with dishes ranging from Belgian dark chocolate mousse with raspberries and biscotti to a selection of sorbets served with almond tuille and fresh fruit.

With the convenience of all day dining and a late night menu, the Republic allows the conversation, food and beverages to continue throughout the night, and has a great array of function room facilities for corporate and social events.
