H&M And Uniqlo Tipped To Be Coming To Adelaide

Burnside Village are tipped to be planning a major expansion that will aim to showcase their shopping centre as a fashion mecca, with labels like H&M and Uniqlo hinted to join the complex.

It’s time to start culling items from the wardrobe and getting your credit cards ready, because Burnside Village are planning a major expansion that will showcase their shopping centre as a fashion superstore – and you’re going to want to hear about this one!

While plans remain in the preliminary stage with community consultation still taking place, there have been talks that many retailers have expressed interest in joining the shopping centre. There are rumours of discussions with international labels such as H&M and Uniqlo, and we sure do hope that that is the case.

The $130 million expansion is set to be one of the most expensive projects that the shopping centre has seen, but we think you’ll all agree that it should be well worth it, with a 35 per cent increase in space. The last redevelopment of the shopping centre was in 2011 and included placing the 100-year-old gum tree under a glass atrium.

This is all still in rumour stage, so it may be a while before we see the entire finished project, however as long as we get ourselves some major fashion stores (and maybe a Pottery Barn *fingers crossed*) we’re not really complaining.

More details will be made available in April, so we’ll have to wait until then. But at least we can rest assured that our fashion-game may be stepping up sooner than we expected.
