After months of anticipation, Uber Adelaide had their official launch last night at Jolley’s Boathouse. Uber seamlessly connects riders to drivers via their app, which provides a great alternative to booking a cab.
The VIP crowd included Adelaide business owners, fashion designers, artists, media and socialites, who were all treated to an Uber ride on the way to the event. Since being introduced to other cities, Uber has helped to reduce DUIs as more transportation options became available, and numbers of assaults on drivers have also decreased which is attributed to both drivers and riders having a profile, so anonymous attacks can’t occur.
