Patch Kitchen & Garden Fires Up For “Dinners After Dark”

In the words of Patch owner Ben Barnett, “For us, food is all about being fresh, healthy, local, seasonal and delicious”. This was exactly the kind of delicious goodness we had the opportunity to savour, when Patch fired up “dinners after dark” last week.

Patch Kitchen & Garden launched in November 2014, serving up seasonal and hearty food for breakfast, brunch and lunch to people of all ages and walks of life. Patch presents wholesome food based on exploring a kitchen’s natural connections to the garden. Their ingredients are carefully selected and everything they serve is made with love and care on the premises. Their enticing menus are locally sourced wherever possible, which includes boutique wines from the Adelaide Hills (let’s be honest, SA is Australia’s wine capital after all), local meats from Hahndorf and even herbs from their very own garden!

Delighted that so many people enjoy the Patch “delicious seasonal goodness” food philosophy, Patch is taking it a step further into the night by serving up sophisticated dinners on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Patch is located in the leafy, beautiful historic premises located in the Adelaide Hills between Stirling and Aldgate. As we stepped into this handsome old villa, we found timber racks, assorted tools and pot plants, designed perfectly to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

One of the indoor dining rooms has toys, books, games and even blackboards for the little ones to get creative and explore their artistic nature. In 2016, Patch won the inaugural Premier’s Commendation for Healthy Choices for Kids as part of the Restaurant and Catering Awards for Excellence. Mums with their little ones in hand? Look no further.

Patch offers a relaxed setting where friends, family gather, relax and enjoy wholesome meals. Whether it’s a family with little ones in tow, or a vegan with intolerances, the Patch team caters to diners with a variety of different needs. Now that Patch has added dinner services to their repertoire, expect creative twists to their menu, additional local wines, beers and ciders to complement the new dishes.
