OXJAM has finally hit Aussie shores (as part of Oxfam) and they want YOU to be a part of it!
OXJAM is a month-long festival of grassroots gigs organised by people like you. Every gig is organised in the name of fighting poverty by raising money through ticket sales or donations. Saving the world has never sounded so good.
Anyone can put on an OXJAM gig. It could be as simple as getting a few mates together for a lounge room set or kicking back to some beats in your backyard. If you want to go all out, tee up with some local acts in your area for an underground party at your favourite club.
OXJAM will be presented in conjunction with MTV’s music channels, MTV Music and MTV Dance, as well as having the likes of I OH YOU, FBi Radio, UNDR ctrl, Noisey, thump, the One Day Crew, Motorik!, and Goodgod Small Club to curate some awesome parties and collectively kick off the biggest festival line-up of the year.
Ultimately, at its heart, OXJAM is about local music, local scenes, and having fun while raising funds for a great cause. If you know anyone who loves music, is in a band, or wants to break into the music scene, then get them to organise their very own OXJAM party and they will promote it through their channels and partners.
Whatever you decide to do, they are here to support you every step of the way. Once you register, they’ll provide you with a gig maker toolkit; jam packed with ideas and top tips from their buddies in the music industry, to make sure your OXJAM gig is extraordinary!
