‘Out Of The Blue’ Is All Set To Keep Its ‘Promise’

Adelaide non-profit organisation, Promise’s next major event is ‘Out Of The Blue’, an evening of uplifting and inspirational songs to raise funds for beyondblue.

Adelaide no-profit organization, Promise was set up by talented 16 year old Ben Francis and his mother Trish Francis to promote music and performing arts for youth in South Australia.

Promise gives highly trained young singers, dancers and musicians looking to put their training into practice in a way that goes beyond what many schools and community clubs can offer.

Ben Francis

Co-founder, Ben Francis, is a young extremely talented singer, dancer, and actor based in South Australia. He has been performing in Adelaide for the last six years; and has experience with the State Opera of South Australia, Heaps Good Productions, Adelaide Youth Theatre, Shane Davidson Presents, and the Australian Classical Youth Ballet. Ben has worked with a fantastic troupe of young artists who share his passion for performing, and through Promise events, is looking forward to introducing many of them to the Adelaide public.

Focusing on the ‘tween’ to twenty age group, who are often too young to take part in the amateur theatre and music scene in Adelaide, the organisation recognises that these talented people have lots to offer, and need to gain performance experience.  Promise identifies and creates opportunities for young artists to develop and gain exposure in South Australia and beyond, whilst having fun and raising funds for a wide range of charities.

Promise’s next major event is Out Of The Blue, an evening of uplifting and inspirational songs to raise funds for beyondblue.

Most Australians have had some experience with anxiety, depression or a related condition, whether they’ve experienced it themselves or had family, friends or work colleagues go through it. beyondblue’s work is aimed at achieving an Australian community that understands depression and anxiety, empowering all Australians, at any life-stage, to seek help. beyondblue takes a public health approach, which focuses on improving the health of the whole population, across the whole lifespan. They tailor approaches when working with specific population groups, and work in a range of settings – including educational settings, workplaces, health services and online – in order to be accessible to as many people as possible.

We are delighted to be raising funds for such a worthy cause” says Ben.

In keeping with our aim of providing learning and performance opportunities Out Of The Blue will see some familiar faces in the cast as well as some new kids on the block..

The supremely talented, young production team consists of: Francis himself directing and hosting; musical direction by Serena Martino Williams; and chorography by Douglas Wiseman and Hannah Dandie.

Raising funds for a very worthy cause, Out Of The Blue is on for two performances only, Saturday 7th Nov 2015, 2pm and 7.30pm at the Burnside Ballroom (cnr of Portrush and Greenhill Roads).

Tickets are $25 Adults and $20 Concession and can booked by phoning 0414 621 764 or emailing [email protected] or at http://www.trybooking.com/ILGS
