It’s not about the sport, horses, fashion, French champagne, or sunshine. Polo in the City is about all of those things and so much more!
Friday December 12 saw Victoria Park play host to one of Adelaide’s most anticipated events. Polo-enthusiasts, fashionistas, socialites and networkers all came together to enjoy the sport of Kings, which actually dates back at least 2,000 years.
This year, the event picked up Waterford Crystal as their presenting sponsor, carrying on their tradition of partnering with premium brands.
The intimate affair saw the crowd split down the middle, with the Stella Artois Polo Lounge on one side, and VIP Marquees on the other side. The more casual Polo Lounge had the feel of a sun-filled beer garden, while the VIP Marquees were decked out in absolute opulence. The Hilton, Adelaide and Australian Fashion Labels’ area was the place to be seen, with amazing food, beautiful people and, of course, French champagne.
Fashion was a huge focus of the event, with judges picking one best dressed female and male to take home a $2,000 prize voucher. It wasn’t all poise though, with a few fun games played between matches, including ladies sprinting across the field, shoes in hand, while their dresses flapped in the wind. It really was a sight.
Polo in the City is one of Adelaide’s most anticipated events, and it delivers, year after year.
