If you’ve been searching for the hottest new spot to get some quality food and drink, or the perfect place to while away those summer evenings then look no further. North Adelaide’s newest (and only) whisky and cocktail lounge, Spot & Co, has just jumped straight to the top of our list of places to be this summer!
With its sleek black marble bar and exposed red brickwork, Spot & Co, located on picturesque Melbourne Street, is the kind of bar that stands a cut above the rest. The wooden, glass fronted doors are thrown open letting the sunlight stream in, offering the alluring prestige we’ve come to expect from North Adelaide. They somehow ooze sophistication and old-world charm at the same time, making you feel like you’ve stepped right into a speak-easy bar from the 1920s. The overall essence is “slightly Old School, with a contemporary vibe”.

Boasting a huge range of whisky as well various craft beers and ciders (loved seeing some South Aussie favourites on the list!) and other spirits, it was the cocktail list we couldn’t take our eyes off. From their take on the classic Espresso Martini (using a personally crafted coffee blend – heavy on the chocolate…yes please!) to the Passiflora, this is a list you want to sit and work your way through. The Scoville Heat – gin, elderflower, Birds eye chilli, mint, lemon and apple – will absolutely knock your socks off!
Just don’t leave without trying one of the Dessert Cocktails – your choice of white or milk chocolate with Rum and Frangelico. Drool.

Fancy a bite to eat on top of this? Well, they’ve got you covered. The delicious tapas menu offers all your favourites from arancini to stone fired pizzas. Can’t decide between chicken and prosciutto? No worries, you can design your own! The empanadas were simply to die for and their House Sauce? We have no words.
