Aussies can now scroll through short 15 second business introduction videos before they book a local business to do a job, thanks to a new app by Oneflare.

The Oneflare Business Video app allows customers to put a face to a name before booking a tradie to do work in their home, instead of just relying on a business name and logo.

Together with Oneflare’s customer reviews of local businesses, the video app aims to revolutionise the challenging process of hiring the right local business in Australia and provide Aussies with the tools to select a business that best suits their needs be it for home improvement, cleaning, pet training or even planning a party.

“This platform is the first of its kind in Australia, which we built based off of our vision to become the most trusted source for quality local businesses,” said Oneflare’s founder and CEO Marcus Lim.

“While its main aim is to imbue trust in consumers, the app also provides a quick and free way for businesses to personalise their profiles and connect with more customers.

“It is a more scalable way of uploading videos, rather than getting them done professionally, which would be far more expensive for small businesses.

“This tool is incredibly convenient because the video automatically uploads onto a profile without the business owner having to compress or edit it.”

The app was designed so that tradespeople can record and upload a video of their business from their mobile device from any place, at any time.

The Oneflare Video app can be downloaded free for iPhone – https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/oneflare-video/id917523074?mt=8
