Khaw, who has been working with food since age 15, said he was delighted to be taking on the prestigious role.

“I’m looking forward to taking the 1000ft journey on North Terrace to the National Wine Centre to cook a refined five-star dining experience with fantastic South Australian produce, matched with wonderful Australian wines,” Khaw said.

“My focus will be on quality, flavour and classical, South Australian-driven dishes.”

Mr Emeny also acknowleged Pope’s decade of service and achievements.

“We thank Philip for his years’ of dedication, leadership and exceptional culinary contribution and we wish him well in his next endeavour,” Mr Emeny said.
