New Ballroom Creates Perfect Setting For A Melbourne Cup Luncheon

With the Adelaide Convention Centre’s new (and very glamorous) Panorama Ballroom as the setting, this year’s Variety Melbourne Cup Luncheon is set to be the best yet

The race that stops a nation is just around the corner and this year Variety – the Children’s Charity will be hosting their Melbourne Cup luncheon in the brand new and highly sought after Panorama Ballroom at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

This is the twenty first year the charity has hosted the luncheon and it’s guaranteed to sell out. As the venue hosts a maximum of 600 guests, event organiser Carl Jones encourages potential attendees to book their table today.

“We have already sold more than half the tickets, this is a fantastic day for a brilliant cause, so don’t miss out,” he said.

The day will raise critical funds for children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs. This year the charity is hoping to beat last year’s fundraising efforts of $40,000 (net).

The event will be in a league of its own with the Panorama Ballroom boasting floor to ceiling glass windows with stunning views over the River Torrens and surrounding parklands. The views will be complimented on the day by an exclusive fashion parade presented by local designer Greta Kate.

Variety SA CEO Mark McGill says the aim of the day is to keep the fun in fundraising.

“At Variety our goal is to help kids be kids, we do this through presenting first class events so that guests will not only have a sensational experience, but can feel great knowing that their day will benefit those who need it most; SA children in need”.
