New Al Fresco Drinking Spot On The Sand At Henley Beach

The Charles Sturt Council has given Joe’s Kiosk permission to serve alcohol for a trial period, meaning we can enjoy an al fresco drinking experience every night of the week.

Henley Beach is getting a new waterfront bar (well, kind of). While it’s not technically a new venue, it’s definitely a new place to enjoy sunset bevvies! Joe’s Kiosk is one of the go-to coffee and ice cream spots for locals and beach-goers alike, situated in a less-populated space over the sand, right by the water. From this week however, it may no longer simply just be the local coffee spot, with the possibility for the site to now serve drinks as part of its offering.

The Charles Sturt Council has given Joe’s Kiosk permission to serve alcohol for a trial period. Up until March 31, diners can enjoy an al fresco drinks experience until 9pm each night. The owners will be able to apply for a one-month extension of their liquor licence until April 30.

This trial period – and possible long-term extension – would allow beach goers to have another spot to relax, with drink in hand, while watching stunning sunsets and waves crash over the waters. We know right, sounds completely idyllic!

The location is absolutely perfect for such a venture, and we cannot wait to try it out and watch the progression of this new al fresco drinking space which kicks off from next week. Make sure to head down this summer!

Joe’s Kiosk
