Christmas in Adelaide just became even more memorable with a new event making its debut this year – one that will surely create an entirely new raft of family memories and traditions for years to come.
Santa’s Wonderland will welcome Adelaide families at the Adelaide Showground between 9 – 18 December.
“Inspired by Christmas events from around the world, Santa’s Wonderland is a unique event unlike any other that has been created especially for the Adelaide market. So far, the feedback and reaction has been extremely positive so we’re looking forward to it being a very merry Christmas and providing a fantastic experience to guests” said co-creator Amanda Watkins
An entry ticket price of $26.50 each for a family of four or more includes free unlimited access to a host of activities, as well as a free ‘activity trail’ showbag filled with things for the kids to make, do and take home. Santa’s Wonderland has been designed to be family friendly with something for everyone.
And what are those activities you ask? Well how does this sound; a ticket gets you unlimited amusement rides, ice skating, ice tobogganing, snow pit play, Christmas story-telling, access to stage performances and a host of other events as part.
Santa’s Wonderland features eight unique areas filled with fun activities, to do, interact with, watch and enjoy.
TRADITIONAL FAMILY CHRISTMAS ZONE
With all the magic of Christmas! Visit the giant Christmas tree, enjoy story-time with Santa’s helpers or take a ride on a reindeer with Rudolph and friends in the reindeer corral.
Take the opportunity to send that all important letter to Santa (and wait at home for the elves to reply!) then enjoy colouring in some wonderful Christmas drawings with your Free Santa’s wonderland crayons on the Activity trail and have a great time with unlimited free amusement rides.
ICE WONDERLAND
Literally the coolest zone in Santa’s Wonderland filled with icy activities – unlimited ice skating on a massive 30m x 15m rink, grab a toboggan and head down the ice slide or make snowballs in the snow pit.
CANDYLAND
A zone bursting with colourful interactive games and things to do. Shed some of that boundless energy in the free candy coloured inflatable obstacle castles and join in the candy Christmas craft activity zone to colour and personalise your own free Christmas bauble for your tree.
ACTIVITY TRAIL
Every child receives a Santa’s Wonderland show-bag to take along the free activity trail that winds its way throughout Wonderland with plenty to make, do and take home.
· stop along the way to write a letter to Santa
· collect and decorate your own DIU personalised Christmas bauble to take home
· colour your best Christmas picture with your free Santa’s Wonderland crayons
· send your very own Christmas cards with your personalised sticker to Mum, Dad, Grandma or Grandpa
· have loads of fun with the decorations and props at the giant Santa Sleigh or oversized snow-dome – strike a pose and take away your own Santa’s Wonderland selfie
CHRISTMAS LIVE
Tinsel the Reindeer and Pixie Sparkles, Candy Land stage shows, Elf MC as well as the Santa’s Wonderland roving entertainers will provide non-stop entertainment on stage whilst the parade of Christmas stars though the venue will be sure to provide many photo moments.
SHOWBAGS AND GAMES
