New Adelaide Hotel Wins At The 2015 HM Awards

One of Adelaide’s newest hotels, the Ibis Adelaide, has won an award at the 2015 HM Awards for Hotel and Accommodation Excellence

Australia and New Zealand’s largest hotel operator, AccorHotels, has collected 19 coveted accolades at the 2015 HM Awards for Hotel and Accommodation Excellence, including four major property wins, four major people awards and recognition for Service to the Community.

AccorHotels was one of the most triumphant hotel groups at the 2015 HM Awards ceremony held at Sydney Town Hall on Friday night 4 September, receiving a further nine Highly Commended achievements across a variety of categories for outstanding hotel properties, departments and people.

It was a big night for new-build hotel, Ibis Adelaide, which just celebrated its first year anniversary and crowned Economy Property of the Year, while for the second year running, the iconic Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains MGallery Collection won Meetings and Conferencing property. Sails in the Desert – a member of Pullman Hotels won the Upscale Property award category and Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour triumphed as New Zealand Hotel of the Year.

AccorHotels prevailed in the People Award categories with the coveted Rising Star Award going to Joanna Lewis, from Accor’s Darling Harbour Hotels, Sofitel Sydney Wentworth’s Mark Peyton was named Concierge of the Year and Novotel Sydney Central’s Jason Rangel received the win for Revenue Management Associate.
