Peter Lee, Centre Manager, is delighted to announce the impending upgrade works: “The Myer Centre Adelaide has long been a retail and social icon of Adelaide and the Rundle Mall Precinct. We are pleased to offer a fresh customer shopping experience and enhanced environment for our valued customers and retailers.”
The Myer Centre Adelaide is managed by Colonial First State Global Asset Management, one of Australia’s largest full service property development, management and leasing organisations with a high quality portfolio of 38 shopping centres and retail precincts across Australia.

In conjunction with the Centre upgrade works, the Myer department store will undertake a significant refurbishment.

The Rundle Mall Management Authority and the Adelaide City Council are partnering to deliver the most substantial upgrade to Rundle Mall since it was first opened in 1976. With Stage 1 commencing in early 2013, this public investment is providing a greater sense of confidence within the precinct as evidenced by a number of recently announced private projects.

Ian Darbyshire, General Manager, Rundle Mall Management Authority, said: “Rundle Mall is Adelaide’s premiere shopping precinct. The planned upgrade of the Myer department store and the Myer Centre Adelaide will enhance linkages between Rundle Mall’s central location and the Riverbank, Adelaide Oval, Convention Centre and Victoria Square redevelopments.”
