The annual McLaren Vale Wine Show is gearing up to again host the popular Consumer Dinner Series of events – inviting culinary connoisseurs and wine enthusiasts to join in the celebration of the region’s medal-winning wines and renowned gastronomic reputation.
The 2016 Dinner Series will incorporate one regional dinner event at the home of the 2015 ‘Best Wine in Show’ winners, S.C. Pannell Wines and then head to the CBD for a decadent skyline dinner at the stylish 2KW Bar & Restaurant.
With David LeMire – wine-industry identity and owner of funky CBD wine bar Mother Vine – hosting the regional dinner, the event offers an intimate setting to taste the trophy-winning wines of the 2015 McLaren Vale Wine Show alongside comparative international benchmark wines, all matched to a mouth-watering regional highlights menu.
McLaren Vale Grape Wine & Tourism Association General Manager Jennifer Lynch credits the success of the annual dinner series to the keen following of wine enthusiasts steadily growing since the dinner series first launched in 2014.
“The success of the 2014 and 2015 Dinner Series events demonstrated the eagerness of wine enthusiasts from all over the state who enjoy being part of one of Australia’s most significant regional wine shows, and the very first to taste the trophy-winning wines,” said Ms Lynch.
On November 11, Adelaide’s trendy dining laneway, Leigh Street, will be transformed into a wine lover’s haven, offering visitors the opportunity to purchase tickets and enjoy Gold Medal wines from an array of McLaren Vale producers of the 2016 Wine Show.
The final 2016 Wine Show Dinner will conclude in Adelaide with a delicious four-course menu matched to a selection of trophy-winning wines and sparkling CBD skyline views from 2KW – a beautiful backdrop to what is an evening of decadence.
