Internationally renowned Mark Anthony returns home to Adelaide with his brand new production, Elvis – The King in Concert recreating all the electrifying magic of Elvis’ Madison Square Gardens and On Tour performances.

Local boy Mark Anthony is no stranger to Adelaide audiences, selling out his Elvis One Night in Vegas show at the Festival Theatre in 2014, and is a regular guest performer at The Advertiser Sunday Mail Foundation fundraisers.

After the huge success of Elvis – If I Can Dream and Elvis – One Night In Vegas, this third part of the production is highly Elvis 2anticipated. This final piece of the production series by Mark Anthony, Elvis – The King In Concert, is a masterpiece of these performances. Mark’s stage presence, incredible vocal ability and authentic costuming, is backed by his amazing and energetic band. Together they bring the Elvis experience to a whole new level.

Elvis’ concert years are some of the most exciting performances in music history. In 1972 Elvis returned to conquer New York City with four sold out shows at Madison Square Gardens. Performing to a record 80,000 people, this was just one of the many pinnacles in his stellar career.

The On Tour performances saw Elvis continue this success across the USA. Culminating in an award winning documentary performance aptly named Elvis On Tour. The concert years saw him perform over 1000 shows in just 8 years and to more than 6.5 million adoring fans.

Born in Adelaide, as a young boy Mark Anthony was introduced to the music and styling of Elvis Presley. Immediately loving this phenomenon, he immersed himself in everything Elvis and soon found he had a natural talent for imitating the King. It wasn’t until 2004 that he decided to seriously and professionally portray Elvis.

Mark got his chance to shine on the “world stage” in 2007, when he won the title of ‘Grand Champion Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist for South Pacific’ at the Wintersun Rock ‘n’ Roll Festival and was flown to Memphis, Tennessee to perform. He won the title again in 2008, and was placed in the top 10 in the world performing in the finals of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Competition, presented by Elvis Presley Enterprises. Mark has also taken the title in 2010 for Elvis Festivals in USA, and Canada. In 2011 he was placed in the Top 5 professional Elvis Tribute Artists performing in the world today. He was awarded the very first “Spirit of Elvis” Award, presented by Elvis Presley Enterprises at the 2011 Ultimate contest in Memphis.
