Suspended from a crane 30 metres in the sky, renowned Adelaide visual artist Thom Buchanan will transfer the views of the soon-to-be constructed apartment complex, Palladium on Light, to canvas in a live overhead performance over three hours.
The high-rise work of art will be created this Thursday and will take pride of place in the foyer of the Light Square apartment complex upon its completion.
Construction is expected to commence on the $40 million development in May this year. To date, 50 per cent of the apartments have been sold off the plan, including a record-breaking penthouse apartment sale, which fetched $5.18 million in late 2013.
Diadem Corporation managing director Nick Dean says the aspect of the 18-storey apartment complex will be truly spectacular from the hills across the city to the sea, so having it captured in art form and showcased within the building for all to enjoy is appealing.
