Following the successful release of her latest single The Boys, Lisa Mitchell is pleased to announce she will be heading out for the “Something About These Streets” National Tour throughout October – tickets for the tour went on sale Wednesday August 24thwith fan’s on Lisa’s mailing list being able to purchase tickets one day earlier. The tour announcement comes after the singer’s stunning performances on the recent sold-out tour dates with US band Grouplove.
Lisa’s new single The Boys was instantly added to Triple J after launching on the station’s breakfast show with Matt & Alex is already at 140K streams. The track’s luminous companion video is a “Sweet, sweet love letter to her hometown Albury,” – Yen.

The Boys is the first taste of Lisa’s upcoming album Warriors, out on October 14th and available to pre-order now. The ‘mesmerising pop’ (i-D Magazine) of the lead track has received extensive critical acclaim and praise as a ‘retro pop anthem’ (Idolator).

Warriors is produced by US success Eric J Dubowsky, aka Eric J (Chet Faker, Flume, The Rubens) and is a slight departure from the acoustic guitar-driven songwriting of her previous work, including her debut album Wonder, which reached #6 in Australia and came to achieve platinum status.
 
“We really got rid of a lot of guitar and piano in this album,” says Lisa. “I was interested in someone doing a different thing than what I’d done in the past. That felt refreshing.”
