Legendary luxury and performance car maker, Maserati, has been relaunched into the Adelaide market on the back of unprecedented national – and global – sales growth.

Australia’s first pure Maserati specialist dealership to be appointed, Solitaire Maserati in Adelaide, has now moved into new all-new purpose built facilities on Glen Osmond Rd in Parkside, due to be officially opened on Wednesday, May 27.

According to the General Manager of Maserati Australia and New Zealand, Glen Sealey, the official opening of the new Adelaide showroom is a fitting testament to a dramatic increase in Australian sales in 2014 by almost 200 per cent and major sales growth right across the globe.

“The six-fold growth in Maserati sales worldwide over the past three years has been driven not just by the arrival of all-new products such as the Maserati Ghibli and Quattroporte, but also by the appointment around the world of new Maserati dealers who are ensuring that these new clients enjoy same levels of exclusive customer service that has long been the hallmark of Maserati,” he said.

“A highly personalised and exclusive level of customer service is as much part of the Maserati reputation as performance and style.

“To deliver this part of the Maserati legend we are totally reliant on our dealers. We place a considerable level of importance on selecting the best representatives for Maserati in each area and then providing them with the highest levels of support, training and facilities to ensure that they reach the levels of excellence in customer service expected by Maserati clients.”

The Solitaire Automotive Group won the exclusive South Australian dealership rights for the Trident brand after an exhaustive two year process to secure their appointment.

Wholly South Australian owned, the company which began operating in 1971, now employs 213 staff across its six metropolitan Adelaide sites.

Managing Director, David Smoker said he was delighted to have secured such an iconic brand and said he firmly believed there was even stronger growth for Maserati on the horizon.

“The newest introductions to the iconic Maserati range have really broadened the market demographic and we are very excited to have been charged with the opportunity to work with such fabulous vehicles,” he said.

Mr Sealey praised the Solitaire team for having a hard won and highly regarded reputation for customer service in South Australia.

“We are very pleased to welcome them to the Maserati team,” he said.

“It has been a pleasure to see the work that they have put into preparing for the launch of this superb new dealership. We have no doubt Solitaire Maserati will set a new customer benchmark in South Australia.
