Ladies of Variety Children’s Surprise Party

On Thursday 2 August the Adelaide Convention Centre will be overrun by 1100 children and carers acting as host to the Ladies of Variety Children's Surprise Party (LOV). 

The surprise party is the third annual signature event organized by LOV, a group of dedicated professional women who volunteer their time to help bring smiles to children in need in South Australia.

The event will be full of entertainment for the children attending, with Adelaide Cover band Flaming Sambuccas singing popular ABBA songs, along with Adelaide children’s performance company Cosmic Characters.  Joining in and adding to the fun of the day will also be face painting, crazy hair, a tattooist, a balloon drop and a stack of Variety Bashers dressing up in costumes as popular children characters including Smurfs and Penguins, plus special appearances by Variety mascots the Variety Heart and Mr. Fruchoc.

The aim of the third annual LOV event is create an environment for disabled or disadvantaged children up until the age of 18 to enjoy themselves and produce some everlasting memories, and bring joy to all participants.
