To give the crowd a big incentive to join in and participate, any couple who follows through with a kiss in front of the Kiss Cam wins a night at Crowne Plaza Adelaide Hotel. So far the Kiss Cam has encourage many kisses and embraces and some embarrassing looks.
What has been the most exciting so far is the marriage proposal from Mikey Donegan to Port Adelaide fan or now fiancée Cathy Allwood. This pre-arranged proposal caught Cathy by surprise at half time in from of nearly 40,000 fans. Once the Kiss Cam stopped on the couple they kissed only to look up and see in blue on the screen ‘Cathy will you marry me’? Followed shortly after by Mr Donegan going down on one knee proposing. The couple then were taken to the locker room where they enjoyed a celebratory drink.
