KFC Twenty20 Big Bash League Launch

Last night saw the launch of the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash League in a glamorous event at the Carriageworks, Sydney.

During the night, the team logos, playing strips and season fixtures were revealed to the public for the first time.

Furthermore, it was confirmed that Michael “Maxy” Klinger was named the Adelaide Strikers inaugural skipper at the high-tech high-octane BBL launch in Sydney where he and the other seven T20 captains shared the stage with their own holograms.

In their first match, the Adelaide Strikers take on the Melbourne Renegades at home on Adelaide Oval, Sunday 18 December 2011. It will be an epic battle with former Redback, Shaun Tait facing Kieron Pollard for the first time in the competition.

The Strikers will travel to Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, and host three home matches at Adelaide Oval in what will be one of the biggest derbies Adelaide has seen. There is no doubt these will some of the hottest tickets in town this Christmas holidays.

The Adelaide Striker squad list consists of Aaron O’Brien, Adam Crosthwaite, Aiden Blizzard, Brendan Drew, Callum Ferguson, Cameron Borgas, Daniel Harris, Gary Putland, Kane Richardson, Kieron Pollard, Lee Carseldine, Michael Klinger, Nathan Lyon, Theo Doropoulos and Tom Cooper.
