Having toured the world as co-vocalist of ‘The Streets’, Kevin Mark Trail has an impressive list of collaborations under his belt including Nitin Sawhney, Estelle and Black Twang, as well as supporting the likes of N.E.R.D, Massive Attack and Angie Stone. Now, having launched a critically acclaimed solo career, Kevin Mark Trail brings his smooth blend of reggae, soul and electronica to Australian shores for the very first time.

Over the past number of years, Trail has travelled back and forth to New Zealand, developing a relationship with its music, land and people. Within this time he has written, recorded and produced three very diverse albums, each demonstrating his vast song-writing abilities and distinctive vocal style. Lyrically, Trail is a versatile writer, ranging from autobiographical, to thought-provoking themes, always permeating a message of positivity and humour. His last album ‘Hope Star’ was recorded in The Streets’ studio, London and features Basement Jaxx vocalists Sharlene Hector and Vula Malinga as well as Plan B vocalist La Donna Peters. Trail’s maiden visit to Australia will provide audiences with the first opportunity to witness his impressive backlog of material, including songs from his forthcoming albums ‘Traveller’ and ‘The Knight’. All profits from ticket sales will go to Music Outback Foundation, a non-profit organisation that uses music and the arts as a powerful and creative tool to help improve education, health and other critical social outcomes on remote Indigenous communities in Australia, details here.
