The British R&B singer songwriter and YMCMB’s own Jay Sean is thrilled to be returning to Adelaide for the first time in years as part of his Australasian 2014 tour!
As the first UK artist to be signed by “Lil Wayne” to his own imprint “Cash Money Records” Jay Sean’s came out swinging in 2009 with his first worldwide smash hit single “Down”, which went on to be one of the biggest selling songs of that year, with a staggering 6 million copies sold and made him the most successful British/European male “urban artist” in US chart history. In 2010, he followed up his debut single with another successful chart topper, “Do You Remember” (featuring Sean Paul and Lil Jon) which not only sold a million copies in the U.S but also became a staple on Aussie radio that year as well as achieving Platinum status on the ARIA charts. .
Later that year he teamed up with his label mate and first lady of Cash Money Records “Nicki Minaj” on“2012 (It Ain’t The End)” and then he took it a step further in 2011 with “Hit The Lights” – on which he collaborated with his very own label head, Lil Wayne.
It was proven in 2012 that some of Jay Seans biggest fans in the world were in fact cemented in Australia. The lead single from the “Neon” album “I’m All Yours” (which featured Pitbull) quickly reached Platinum status and was one of the biggest radio songs of that year.
