Iconic Eastern Suburbs Pub Gets A Fresh Spring Facelift

The newly renovated pub includes a giant green wall that creates a relaxed oasis for you to sit back and enjoy the atmosphere, whether you’re keen for a quiet drink, breakfast, lunch or a nice dinner date.

There’s nothing better than when a classic venue gets a revamp – it still feels like you’ve always remembered, just with more modern surroundings. Iconic Adelaide hotel, Britannia Hotel, named after its location on Adelaide’s most famous roundabout, has had a facelift just in time for spring and we can’t wait to enjoy a couple of glasses of wine with mates in their gorgeous new courtyard.

The giant green wall creates a relaxed oasis for you to sit back and enjoy the atmosphere, whether you’re keen for a quiet drink, breakfast, lunch or a nice dinner date. The indoor bar area is filled with fantastic geometric lines, wooden elements that all combine to create a really edgy and fresh vibe.

Did we mention that every Friday there will be wine tasting – and you know we’re down with that. Each week different local wineries will be showcasing their wines between 4pm and 7pm in the courtyard, accompanied by live local acoustics acts playing a mix of covers and original music to bring that chilled out vibe up a level.

The revamp has also seen a menu refresh, with exciting new additions like Kataifi SA king prawns and Boston Bay mussels (what a shrimprovement!). If you’re not feeling the seafood, and would prefer a more traditional pub meal you’ll find the usual suspects readily available – sometimes nothing beats a good ol’ schnitty, steak, or fish and chips.

The same ol’ hotel with a bit of a facelift, we have a feeling we’ll need to head down soon and suss out the offerings.
