Historic Adelaide Winery Releases New Range Of Affordable Wine

We love new wines, but when it’s from one of our favourite southern Adelaide wineries we’re even more pumped.

There’s not a single thing we love more than tasting a new wine for the first time. Hearing that pop as we pull out the cork or unscrew the cap, the splash as it hits the bottom of our wine glass, the first taste as we guzzle most of the bottle. When it’s one of our favourite southern Adelaide wineries though? We’re even more pumped.
The September 11 release of the Merchant Series heralded Patritti’s official launch into the contemporary domestic market. Premium wine from South Australia’s premier wine regions, high-quality bottles, screw-cap closures, bold label design and an attractive price point; these wines are sure to interest a wide variety of us.
Inspired by the adventurous spirit of Patritti’s founder, Giovanni Patritti, the labels feature photographs and stories depicting the lighter moments in their 91 year history. Migrating to Australia from Italy in 1925, Giovanni’s entrepreneurial attitude saw him supplying European style table wines to other ‘new Australians’ within a short time of his arrival in South Australia and establishing his own winery not long thereafter.
The Patritti brand will be recognised nationally through this range of wines by telling the playful stories of the company’s foundation, growth and ongoing success. This will resonate with millennial wine drinkers who, according to various national studies, seek authenticity and credibility from brands.
Patritti’s Merchant Series will launch with a range of six wines; Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay from the Adelaide Hills, and GSM, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon from McLaren Vale, all retailing for $24 per bottle.
