It’s the classic line up. The classic tunes. And now it’s officially confirmed for February next year.
The Adelaide Oval has hosted some big names in recent years and rock icons Guns N’ Roses will be right up there, as they head down under on their ‘Not In This Lifetime’ Tour. Does anyone keep track of tour names anymore?
Really, it’s not important. What is important is that Duff McKagan’s reputed peace deal brokered between Axl and Slash brings the original line up together for the first time in Australia since 1993. Axl might have more of a soft spot for down under than previous years after his year touring as the lead vocalist of AC/DC, while Slash has been a frequent visitor in his own right during the last decade. But the prospect of hearing the original line up on stage together seems simply too good for people to pass up.
A quick shout out to the peanut who leaked that this tour was coming by erecting the MCG show advertising before the tour announcement. Good on that guy, he was clearly a fan too.
Tickets will go on sale on Friday, 26th August. No word on who the supports will be yet, though electronic heavyweight Skrillex has been a recent touring support. That would certainly be an interesting addition.
