Let’s not beat around the bush; Spring is racing season and Melbourne Cup gets everyone in the country involved in some capacity, even if it’s just in the office sweeps. But if you’re looking to really make a day of it, then Glam Adelaide will be drawing your attention to some of the best events this season. And this one seems like a perfect place to begin.
Barefoot by the Beach Melbourne Cup Day 2016 will transform the Glenelg foreshore beneath an 800 square metre beachside marquee in front of the iconic Stamford Grand Adelaide on Tuesday, 1st November 2016.
Presented by Stamford Hotels and Resorts Adelaide, in addition to a specially prepared four course buffet luncheon there will be live entertainment, a silent auction, raffles, an onsite bookmaker and live racing action on the big screen. Guests will be encouraged to ditch their shoes and hit the sandpit dance floor – all for a great cause.
The Barefoot by the Beach Melbourne Cup event will be hosted by Lisa McAskill and supports Can:Do 4Kids, with all proceeds raised via auctions and raffle tickets going directly to Can:Do 4Kids to provide vital therapy and support to South Australian children who are blind, vision impaired, deaf or hearing impaired. Guests are encouraged to dress to impress all in support of a great cause.
