Get To Aldinga For The Ultimate ‘Fridays After Five’ Weekend Kickstarter

After a long week at work, there is nothing like the perfect Friday night wine down. Well we have found it exactly what you need…

We have found the ultimate Spring/Summer Friday night wine down… Kickstart you weekend in Aldinga with Fridays After Five. See Old Coach Road come alive every Friday evening…

The event, similar to that of a laneway bar in the city, uses the space between Maxwell’s Grocery and Homegrain Bakery to create the perfect setting for food, fun and wine.

Artisan stalls and food trucks, a mini-market with jewellery, candles local food produces, artwork, succulents, antiques, sculptures and more are all tucked in between the two Aldinga icons.

Line your stomach with some delicious street food. Think steaming pans of paella (oh yes), wood fired pizzas and the always cracking goodies from the amazing people (and local) Mullygrub Truck. We will have one of everything…

If nothing of the street food variety takes your fancy, you can always pop into Maxwell’s Grocery for a juicy burger made using local ingredients and, for the health conscious, you can always grab some of their raw treats. It is almost Summer after all.

From the food, head over to the wine (our fave) and taste some quality wine from the people at Down The Rabbit Hole. Or why not start at the wine and then buy yourself a glass (or bottle – it is that good) and have that while you enjoy your lovely meal. Now that sounds like a plan to us!

Get comfy on the adorable bright-coloured cushions, revamped old furniture, and pallets – the perfect place to sit around with your friends and enjoy that food and wine you just purchased. Of course there are also local artists strumming away and singing their songs while you lean back and bask in the joyful fact that the weekend has started.

The event is family friendly and seriously, we think it is one not to be missed. It runs from 5pm until 9pm
