Get Set For Wine Time On An Epic Scale When Crush Festival Comes Around

It’s not long until Crush is here to play…

The Adelaide Hills is set to host the largest and most impressive CRUSH Festival on record from January 22 – 24, 2016. With 34 wineries hosting 45 events over three days, South Australia’s first major wine and food event for 2016 has quickly become one of Adelaide’s biggest and best Summer parties.

With the theme ‘Play it Cool’, wineries and event organisers have created a program that reflects the youthful, fresh and fun personality of the region. Adelaide Hills Wine Region CEO Robin Shaw was excited to launch the 2016 event program featuring a host of new events.

“Many people know that the Hills is a great spot to try our crisp, fresh cool climate wines but the CRUSH Festival adds a whole new dimension,” she said.

“With more cellar doors involved than ever before and a stack of fresh new events on offer, this year is looking to be a sensational display of all the things we love about living and working in the Hills.

“Visitors can enjoy the ultimate Sunday session at ‘A Day on the DR Green’ hosted by Deviation Road Winery, where they can chill out in the wine garden and enjoy funky tunes by DJ Tor, as well as Spanish food by Miss Perez.

“If a Mexican theme is more their style, Howard Vineyard is throwing a ‘Sangria Party’ with mouthwatering Mexican food, awesome wines, craft beer on tap and of course, ice cold sangria.

“For people who enjoy breathtaking scenery, Petaluma’s new deck is the place to be. With a glass of wine, a regional platter and a great view of the Adelaide Hills landscape, it’s hard to go past.

Visitors to CRUSH can purchase a souvenir Spiegelau glass at any general entry event and take it with them to other venues during the day. The program also includes a record number of ticketed events, which require pre-booking due to their popularity and offer guests an opportunity to participate in exclusive wine and food experiences.

A bus service will run to and from Adelaide on the Sunday and a shuttle bus will travel between venues during the day. For a full program visit www.crushfestival.com.au To tweet: #crush16
