Cricket Australia will trial the use of a pink ball during the day-night Futures League match scheduled at Adelaide Oval from 2 to 4 February 2010.
The purpose of the trial is to test, under match conditions, the visibility of the coloured ball under day and artificial light and also to monitor the discoloration of the balls throughout the innings. Play each day in Adelaide will start will start at 2.30pm and close at 9.30pm to ensure the final session will finish under lights.
