The Golden Phung Comedy Sketch show returns to the stage for the 2015 Adelaide Fringe Festival. After taking a year off to focus on their webseries, the gang is back with their most ambitious show yet. The Golden Phung Go To Hell is an exploration of comedy and how it works. Performance will run for 12 dates throughout February with the last show being on the first of March. Tickets available through FringeTix.

The Golden Phung Go To Hell is a supernatural deconstruction of what makes sketch comedy work and what we all love about it. When one of their classic comedy sketches dies on the stage, the Golden Phung must traverse the nine layers of Sketch Comedy Hell to resurrect it… with hell-arious results.

Performing in the soon to be demolished Channel 9 Kevin Crease studios, The Golden Phung Go To Hell will show every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday in February (14, 15, 18-21, 25-28) & March 1.

The Golden Phung are all young South Australian artists and all acting graduates from the Adelaide College for the Arts. First joining comic forces in 2009 to write and produce sketch comedy for stage and screen. They have received much critical acclaim throughout their five-year career. Some achievements include:

Nominated BankSA TalkFringe Award 2013, Best Emerging Comedian at the 2010 Adelaide Fringe Awards & Best Newcomer at the 2010 Adelaide Comedy Awards

Winner City of Adelaide Performing Arts Award Helpmann Academy 2010

Sellout Seasons – Three years in a row
