To mark the beginning of the round, the inaugural Friendship Cup Twenty20 match between Indian and Pakistan community teams will take place on Sunday, 18 January at Kilburn Cricket Club.

A collaboration of the Multicultural Sports and Community Club (MSCC) and the South Australian Cricket Association, the event will feature a free come and try session cricket clinic for boys and girls from midday, as well as kids’ activities, Bollywood style entertainment, and a range Indian and Pakistani food.

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 Community Round is a celebration of cricket, colour and culture. It’s a fun way to bring communities together, raise funds for clubs or indoor cricket centres and introduce new players to the game.

Clubs have been encouraged to hold Cricket World Cup themed social and/or fundraising events on either weekend of this round of cricket to help celebrate the world’s biggest cricket party.
