The Highway Hotel’s Game Season is once again ready to set tongues and tails wagging among South Australian foodies.
Now in its fourth year, Game Season has become a popular annual culinary delight for those keen to have a taste of something a little different.
All produce is sourced by the Highway’s head chef, Elliot Hampton, fresh from local outback game meat supplier Something Wild in the Adelaide Central Market.
Among the Australian game meats to feature on this year’s Game Season menu will be wallaby, buffalo and venison.
Game Buffalo Burger
Mr Hampton says he expects a popular choice for game connoisseurs this year will be a tasty buffalo burger with ciabatta roll, cheddar, caramelised onion, spinach and kutjera relish.
“People from all parts of the State join us each year just for Game Season,” he said.
“There are plenty of food lovers who enjoy the opportunity to try some delicacies that are certainly on the wild side.”
Game Season will be held from May 18-31 in The Highway’s bistro and lounge bar.
