Food/chef pix, Elbow Room, MCLAREN VALEEverybody loves SALA, but this year there’s an event coming with SALA that combines South Australia’s love of art with our love of wine and foods.

Coming up in August is the SALA Festival’s ‘Art of Wine Collecting Sunday Lunch’ at The Elbow Room in McLaren Vale.

This event will not only combine everyone’s love of art and wine, but will also give you tips on how to collect both!

Guest speaker Tamara Grischy, Head of Auctions at Langton’s, will speak about collecting fine wine and the many links it shares with collecting art, as well as navigating wine auctions and how to create a wine cellar that’s an artwork in itself.

Guests will enjoy a degustation lunch with a full flight of wines by McLaren Vale small batch winemaking collective Vale Cru, and can participate in an actual wine auction facilitated by Ms Grischy. Learn how to bid like a pro in a friendly, supportive environment and get tips from the experts.

This event is a first for the SALA Festival, and marks the start of a new partnership with Vale Cru.

Tickets are $150p/h but are strictly limited, so book your place now by calling Lorraine at The Elbow Room on 8323 8686.
