FIRST LOOK: Port Admiral Hotel Reopens After 10 Years

This Port Adelaide institution officially opens its doors today for the first time in 10 years.

After a whopping 10 years of being closed, the 168-year-old Port Admiral Hotel, has had a $1 million dollar facelift and is ready to reopen!

The masterminds behind Clever Little Tailor, Pink Moon Saloon, and Low & Slow, alongside the chef from Whistle & Flute, have revived this historic Adelaide hotel as part of Port Adelaide’s upcoming revitalisation. Along with it’s new look, the hotel now has a front bar, beer garden, outside terrace, saloon bar, and bottle shop.

With 350 different wines, 100 different beers, and 100 spirits in the bottle shop attached to the pub, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Chock-a-block full of independent labels and small producers from all over, everything at the bottle shop can be bought and drunk in the pub with corkage.

They even have their own beer on tap (and available in tinnies) called Port Local lager in collaboration with Pirate Life Brewing for your beer-lovin’ pleasure.

24 items of classic pub food can be expected from the Port Admiral Hotel as well as food with a little bit more schmick and full of fresh ingredients. Think salt and pepper eggplant with pomegranate, chilli and bean sprouts; 24 hour slow-cooked lamb shoulders; or just a classic beef burger with a heap of stuffings.

The Port Admiral Hotel officially opens on today, why not head over and be part of history as this iconic Hotel reopens its doors.
