Having been announced as Feast Festival 2015 Ambassador back in May, Michael Griffiths has continued to add to his outstanding credentials that will no doubt propel his career to even greater heights.

Currently performing a stellar show titled Sweet Dreams: Songs By Annie Lennox at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Michael has been channeling Annie Lennox to rave reviews and standing ovations and can’t wait to bring it back to his hometown for one night only as part of Feast Festival in November.

‘With haunting reverence some of the biggest songs of the last three decades are made anew. Griffiths thanks us for ‘suspending disbelief’ but there was no need. We were with him from the first piano chord’ Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

On top of being a successful performing artist Michael has recently appeared in the ABC television documentary Sperm Donor’s Anonymous. Film-maker Lucy Paplinska followed Michael on his journey of soul searching and self-discovery about being a child conceived through sperm donation.

“It is a topic that isn’t discussed openly – it’s almost taboo, so being a-part of this documentary was a great honour and I hope people who might be struggling with the fact they were conceived through sperm donation can take away some positivity, knowledge and reassurance of themselves,” Michael said.

With Michael’s resume of achievements growing he is pumped to get back to Adelaide and continue his Ambassadorial role in promoting the 2015 Feast Festival.

“Feast continues to grow and attract international and local attention, I’m thrilled to be a part of Feast again this year and can’t wait for you all to experience what the 2015 Festival has to offer,” he said.

Feast Festival is in its 19th year and runs from the 14th-29th November, showcasing the best of LGBTIQ cabaret, comedy, literature, music, film, forums and special events.
