Bugsy-Poster-2New York; the 1920’s; speakeasies; rival gangsters and splurge guns; a love story between a hopeful showgirl and an ‘all round nice guy – add them all together and the recipe is complete. This toe tapping, pie throwing story of Bugsy Malone is the next hit musical production for Tyndale Christian School.

This stage version is based on the all- child actor 1976 Alan Parker film, Bugsy Malone, that made stars and house-hold names of Scott Baio and Jodie Foster.

Directors Andrew Hawkins and Leah Gauthier, have assembled yet another outstanding ensemble of young actors who will take to the stage this week to present their annual Middle School Musical.

Hawkins, a director originally from the UK, is now into his fifth production at Tyndale Christian School and continues to set the bar high alongside his colleague, Gauthier, known for starring in Adelaide Musical Theatre productions. Together they continue to develop fine vocalists both solo and ensemble. They are an exceptional duo whose determination and innovation continue to inspire the students of Tyndale Christian School to showcase their finesse on the stage.

Tyndale Christian School, who specialise in Musical Theatre, continue to develop their Middle School students in Acting, Singing and Dance and have assembled a cast of over 70 students to present a fresh dynamic version of the classic children’s musical. Set in a cabaret style, this production is sure to entertain both young and old.
