Exclusive: Sneak Peek At Keith Urban’s RipCord Tour Adelaide Rehearsal!

When you get an invite to watch the opening night rehearsal of one of the big names in music, it’s usually a good idea to head along because you never know what can happen.

Glam Adelaide were extremely lucky to have caught an Exclusive pre-show sound check & rehearsal of none other than Keith Urban, who opens tonight at the Entertainment Centre with US superstar Carrie Underwood, and Aussie rockers Buchanan.

Glam Adelaide were extremely lucky to have caught an Exclusive pre-show sound check & rehearsal of none other than Keith Urban, who opens tonight at the Entertainment Centre with US superstar Carrie Underwood, and Aussie rockers Buchanan.

Amidst a throng of band members, sound, and lighting people all trying to fine tune prior to tonight’s performance, out strolls Keith Urban to the front of stage to hear the band and to check sound levels. What we weren’t expecting though, was for Urban to casually walk over to say hi to the small media contingent who were invited in. Such is the class of Keith Urban, a genuinely lovely guy who took the time to strike up a chat with us, and even stop for ‘selfies.’ I’d go as far as to say he’s possibly the nicest, most down to earth artist I’ve met in person and, not only that, he has a great voice and can swing a guitar. Little wonder he has a legion of adoring, albeit mostly female fans. It’s a strange experience meeting celebrities, you never know quite what to say, but Urban is laid back and warm, making the experience a joy.

He leaves for the stage after wishing us well, and it is there where the ‘Urban Experience’ happens. He launches into his opening songs for the night’s performance, which I can reveal are:

Gone tomorrow (here today), Sun don’t let me down, and Break on me, all of which he delivered brilliantly and as if he was performing to live punters. He sounds magnificent, the band is tight, the production and staging is fantastic- be prepared to be amazed tonight. We were in just a short space of time!

Get on down if tickets are still available!
