IMG_7935Elizabeth Shopping Centre has partnered with one of South Australia’s most well known charities, Little Heroes Foundation – a not for profit organisation that supports seriously ill children and their families.

The partnership was formed through the centre’s new community program which encourages people to support charitable organisations and groups in their local area.

By supporting Little Heroes Foundation, sponsors will help raise funds for essential equipment and services accessed by thousands of seriously ill children and their families. Since 1996, the charity has raised more than 13 million dollars for lifesaving facilities at Adelaide’s Women’s and Children’s Hospital, and their Little Heroes Care program which assists families with seriously ill children.

Elizabeth Shopping Centre will work to increase local awareness for Little Heroes Foundation and generate support from the local community.

To digitally demonstrate their care, Elizabeth Shopping Centre has created a special Facebook App, accessed via the Centre’s Facebook page or website, to encourage community spirit. Customers will be invited to register their support for the group through the App and the Centre will then connect the community members with Little Heroes Foundation to discuss support opportunities.

A number of activities will also be held in the Centre, providing further opportunities to connect Little Heroes Foundation with the community and to raise further awareness of the charity’s worthy causes.

Elizabeth Shopping Centre will extend its partnership with Little Heroes Foundation beyond the campaign period, making the commitment to provide long term and ongoing support.

Elizabeth Shopping Centre will also donate a further $1,000 to Little Heroes Foundation in 2014.
