Melt Henley Beach Launch Details Revealed

Two more note-worthy food ventures are headed straight for this seaside redevelopment.

As summer fast approaches, Henley Beach prepares to welcome sun-seeking locals and visitors alike with a host of brand new eateries thanks to the almost complete redevelopment. Whilst we’ve already scoped out the newest kids on the block, SALT and Acacia, there’s two more note-worthy food ventures headed straight for the seaside.

Simon Kardachi, the man behind The Pot, Shōbōsho, Osteria Oggi (to name a few) is introducing the third addition of his Melt Pizzeria franchise to the white sands of Henley Beach. Home to a delicious and unique selection of pizzas, a regularly updated tapas menu and a broad wine list, Melt has received a whole lotta love at it’s other locations in the CBD and Hyde Park, however this new joint comes with a twist, different from it’s predecessors.

Whilst Melt will be housed upstairs, the ground floor of the renovated building will be home to Kardachi’s latest creation, a nostalgic fish and chip shop to be known as Sea Salt. A place for everyone, regardless of occasion, the casual and playful diner will serve not only the quintessential fish and chip in paper combo, but also a wide selection of fresh and local seafood such as oysters (for those who are feeling a little more fancy).

In the works to top of this spectacular eating house will be a rooftop bar, where you can soak up those long awaited summer rays and enjoy a blissful view of the sparkling sea.

Melt and Sea Salt will be located in the former Evida site at Henley Square and is expected to open in summer 2017/2018. Unfortunately Sea Salt has no socials as of yet, but you can find out more about Melt at their Facebook and website.
