Tickets for one of the hottest international comedy tours of the year – DAVE CHAPPELLE live in Australia for the first time – were snapped up within minutes of going on general sale this morning, all shows selling out in less than 15 minutes. The extraordinary demand for tickets has brought the addition of late-shows in Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney.

Dave Chappelle is one of the most distinctive voices in comedy. A comedian, screenwriter, television and film producer, actor and artist,
Chappelle has been working in the entertainment industry since the age of 14. His 2003, boundary–bashing television series,
Chappelle’s Show, catapulted the comic into international stardom. In 2004 the first season DVD set of Chappelle’s Show had become the
best-selling TV series of all time, beating out The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Friends.
In 2005, Chappelle was the star and a producer of the Michel Gondry directed documentary Dave Chappelle’s Block Party, chronicling a
free, star-studded concert in Brooklyn on September 18, 2004. It was a critical and box office success grossing a total of $11.7 million on a
$3 million budget. Since early 2013 Chappelle has been touring North America to phenomenal success, selling out venues all over
America and Canada. In July he broke the record at the prestigious Just for Laughs festival in Montreal for number of tickets sold by a
single performer.
The Australian tour will be the first time Dave Chappelle has toured internationally outside of North America.
