Collarbones Premiere new track ‘Burnout’

Collarbones’ Travis Cook and Marcus Whale met on the Internet in 2007. Divided by 1150km (with Cook in Adelaide and Whale in Sydney), they pieced together their brilliant debut album Iconography, which saw the duo nominated for a FBi SMAC Award as well as two ARIA Awards (2011).

In 2012, Collarbones released Die Young – an LP inspired by recollections of the naive, vulnerable yearning at the heart of the adolescent experience. Framed by a soundtrack of jilted R&B instrumentals, Die Young joins whole generations mourning for their fallen idols. The album received 4 stars from The Australian; earned FBi and Radio Adelaide’s Album of the Week Features; and was nominated for Best Dance Electronica Album at the Carlton Dry Independent Music Awards. Since its release, Collarbones have supported Neon Indian, Daedelus, Oscar + Martin, and Baths, and were handpicked to play triple j Unearthed’s Parklife slot, among other festival appearances.

Collarbones have premiered new track ‘Burnout’ and teased the release of a forthcoming Mix Tape‘Atlantis 2014‘ via Pigeons and Planes.

Collarbones will release their third LP via Two Bright Lakes / Remote Control Records in late 2014 more album details will follow in the coming weeks. COLLARBONES ONLINE
