Adelaide’s amazing Church Studios are holding an exhibition opening AND massive sale on selected home wares and furniture tonight!
For those of you who haven’t visited Church Studios before, it is a gorgeous store with a unique collection of giftware items, artwork and intriguing interior products.
Offering a superb range of antique and reproduced Chinese, Japanese and Danish furniture with art displayed in church, halls and school room settings, people can wander in the surrounding grounds to view the statues and beautiful garden setting.
Tonight’s exhibition launch of works by Mary Ann Runican, is from 6pm. All are welcome.
Mary Ann Runican says “Figure drawing has always been an important part of my working practice. I have used these drawings as a departure for this series of paintings. These paintings are an exploration of painting itself. I confined the format to the square and in many of these paintings there is no right way up, but are intended as a self contained worlds of their own. I divide my time between Paris and Australia.”
Mary Ann will be at the opening Thursday night and also present at the Studio on Saturday afternoon so please feel free to come in and have a chat with her.
