Carnevale Italian Festival Only A Month Away!

The countdown is one to one of Adelaide’s largest cultural festivals – offering something for food and wine lovers, Ferrari fans, families, fashionistas, cultural boffins and basically anyone who’s looking for a great day out.

Carnevale2011 - Atmosphere 05-2The countdown is one to one of Adelaide’s largest cultural festivals – offering something for food and wine lovers, Ferrari fans, families, fashionistas, cultural boffins and basically anyone who’s looking for a great day out.

As well as the plethora of talent on show – particularly MORENO FRUZZETTI backed by the 8-piece band JC JAZZ – there are new things happening at Carnevale in 2015! We also mustn’t forget the outrageous group JUNGLE JOOCE performing each day on the Youth Stage and the Carnevale Stage.

In 2015 we celebrate the 750th anniversary of the ‘father of the Italian language’ Dante Alighieri – a forum is devoted to him as well as a special exhibition, mounted by students, entitled Happy Birthday Dante!

So what’s new for our younger citizens? There are twelve Soccer tables (Foosball) and a new feature is San Remo Kids in the Kitchen where kids can cook up a storm in Piazza Jubilee! As well as storytelling, entertainment is from magician Steve Presto, The Star Academy and making her debut at Carnevale – Katie Wright Dynamite.

Extremely popular in its first year and now in its second are Brasilia Coffee Masterclasses where one can learn to be a brilliant barista.

Another new initiative is Carnevale Technology Planet consisting of several high-tech companies representing the connections and relationship between SA and Italy. People will be able to view and talk about hybrid solar panels, pre-fabricated modular housing, quality and projects management, landscape and irrigation products, level sensors, business management intelligence system, marine lights and wastewater treatment facilities.

Throw in all the traditional favourites like bocce, the motor show, exhibitions, Soccer for under 12s in the Carnevale Cup, fabulous fashion shows, traditional Italian cuisine, forums, the Carnevale Fratelli Café and MORE!

We are in for a great Italian weekend in the heart of Adelaide.

A must for your calendars!
