As a boutique McLaren Vale winery, De Lisio Wines has always embraced the opportunity to stay true to traditional methods, offer minimal interference with the processes, and create unique, premium wines for cellaring, celebrations and weeknight dinners. On Friday 5 June 2015, wine lovers are invited to be part of that process at Stump Hill Gallery in McLaren Vale’s main street for a dinner with the winemaker, label artist and unique reveal on the night.

The Friday night dinner is the first event of the 2015 McLaren Vale Sea & Vines Festival, and De Lisio Wines is truly giving food and wine enthusiasts the chance to ‘make a weekend of it’ and start their long weekend celebrations early. The winery is excited to be partnered with chic Adelaide destination Decant Restaurant and its Head Chef Robert Yates, who started his career launching the Red Ochre restaurants with celebrity chef Andrew Fielke.

A specially designed three-course menu includes exclusive Cape Grim beef, as well as seafood choices which highlight local produce, and meld the experience of the sea and the vines. Winemaker Tony De Lisio and Assistant Winemaker Anthony De Lisio (yes, it’s a family thing) are showcasing a selection of the winery’s new and existing labels, highlighting the new release wine. This is an experience you won’t find at any other time of the year, with wines you can’t buy in a bottle shop.

Local Fleurieu artist John Draper will offer you insights into the De Lisio label design process, so bring your creativity and eye for unique experiences, and prepare to be part of something special.
