With Love From The Trenches is a moving and deeply personal look at the Australian experience of World War I, expressed through heart-rending letters between a mother and her soldier son in the lead up to the Battle of the Somme in 1916.

Written by South Australian actor and director Vicky Horwood and based on actual World War I letters from her grandfather and great uncle, this touching play tells the story of Reggie (Hal Bruce), a 20-something South Australian country lad fighting on the western front while his mother waits anxiously for his return.
