The South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) is for sale! Well, the windows of the building are, anyway.
Starting today, members of the community can own a piece of the iconic SAHMRI research facility in the west end of Adelaide by purchasing a virtual window. The windows can be dedicated to the memory, or in recognition, of a loved one, family member, friend or colleague.
SAHMRI’s Executive Director, Professor Steve Wesselingh, said that the Windows Campaign was designed with the community in mind and presents the perfect opportunity to become involved with the organisation by supporting the work of SAHMRI’s research teams.
“The windows of the facility are one of the most recognisable features of the building. What better way to raise the much needed funds for research than by giving people across South Australia and beyond the chance to virtually own one,” Professor Wesselingh said.
“We want everyone in the community to feel as though they are a part of our future and the exciting work that we are undertaking inside the building.”
“In sharing our vision and buying a window at SAHMRI, you are helping to support our research teams who are working every day to create a healthier future for our community and for generations to come.” Professor Wesselingh said.
100% of the funds raised from the SAHMRI Windows Campaign will be used to support research programs, build research capacity and purchase the state-of-the-art equipment that SAHMRI’s research teams need.
The cost of a window is $100 for individuals, and $1,000 for corporates and other organisations. All donations to SAHMRI over $2 are fully tax deductible.
