With two weeks to go until Bowerbird hits the Adelaide Showground with all of its market amazingness, they have just announced two very exciting new initiatives.
If you are looking for inspiration to style your home or office, then look no further. Say hello to Insitu! Created by the innovative team of design experts at Bowerbird, this will be a welcome addition to the market experience. Making its debut on May 6 and running over the three-day-event, Insitu will introduce a new way of showcasing the markets’ wares.
It will comprise of a series of six themed spaces showcasing a selection of the homewares, soft furnishings, furniture, lighting, artworks and objects available from Bowerbird’s stallholders, in use, in real life situations.
Visitors are invited to explore the Insitu living room, dining room, home office, bedroom, children’s bedroom and outdoor living space – as styled by three of Bowerbird’s expert design team. Making it even better? All of the items will be tagged with information, so that visitors can easily find their creators, to purchase or commission their own unique piece. Genius!

Treat your mum, your family, or yourself and your bestie, to two delicious hours of handmade high tea delights, at a specially created venue within a venue at Bowerbird on Sunday May 8. This very special Bowerbird exclusive event is presented in collaboration with Adelaide’s High Tea specialists, el limón, who’ll be creating a mouth-watering spread of handmade sweet and savoury treats, refreshing drinks, gourmet teas and French press coffee, all served at beautifully decorated tables, styled with fresh flowers, candles, vintage crockery and glassware.
A strong contender for Adelaide’s best Mothers Day get together, this is one event that is not to be missed! Places are strictly limited and booking early is recommend. $75 per person includes admission to Bowerbird and two-hours of Mothers Day High Tea delights from 2pm to 4pm. Book here.
